Leadership & Strategy Background
At The Business Times, Singapore I managed a portfolio of nine-plus newsletters encompassing daily, weekly, and subscriber-exclusive editions.
In this capacity I engaged directly with editors and the project manager to define newsletter best practices, led code reviews, trained offshore developers and conducted training sessions for editors so they could operate autonomously.
I have deep experience leveraging the Emarsys email-marketing platform and its REST API to implement automation workflows—including cron-triggered reminder emails for non-openers, custom emoji-compatible templates, segmentation and send-time optimisation, and A/B/multivariate testing to amplify CTR and subscriber engagement.
My next stride is to explore emerging AI-driven email marketing techniques—predictive segmentation, dynamic content personalisation and advanced send-time optimisation—to elevate newsletter performance and ROI.
